20 paise: Mahatma Gandhi birth centenary 1969

This 20 paise coin was issued on 3rd October 1969, to commemorate the birth centenary of Gandhiji. Struck in brass with a gold tone, the obverse depicts a picture of Gandhiji (father of our nation) and the reverse shows the country, denomination and the four headed lion symbol.

20 paise food for all
This 20 paise coin was issued on 16th October 1970, to mark the 25th anniversary of the Food and Agricultural Organization of United Nations. Struck in brass with a gold tone, the obverse shows a Lotus (national flower of India) and sun on the top and the inscription " Food for all" on the bottom, reverse shows the country, denomination and the four headed lion symbol.

20 paise : World Food Day 1982

This 20 paise coin dated 16th October 1982 was issued in 1983, to generate awareness towards world food problem and strengthen solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty and to mark the endorsement of the general assembly towards observance of  World Food Day.
The obverse of this hexagonal aluminium coin shows two hands holding the earth with a sheaf of wheat against it, with a central design inset against a stylized gear wheel bearing the letters "F A O" on the upper half and the date "16 OCT" on the lower half. The inscription "World Food Day" appear on the right side and " Biswa khadya Diwas" appear on the left side of the design and 1982 appearing below the design.

20 paise fisheries 1983
This 20 paise coin was issued on 16th October 1983, to show the importance of Fisheries and the fishing industry on the lives of people. The obsverse of this hexagonal aluminum coin depicts two fishermen with there catch of fishes, writing in Hindi reading "Matchya Udyog", year of issue and Fisheries. The reverse reading country, denomination and depicting the four faced lion.
